Mike is 25 and is passionate about helping others improve both physically and mentally. Mike grew up playing a variety of sports from high level hockey as a goaltender to Muay Thai and Daiwa Ryu Aiki Jujitsu (taught by Sensei Hastings at the dojo). Mike recently fell in love with Muay Thai and kickboxing over the last three years and wants to share his passion with others.
Mike also brings a wealth of knowledge when it comes to weight training. He’s been a regular at the gym for over 9 years and has worked as a fitness coach at a couple of different gyms in Victoria over the last 3 years teaching Bootcamp classes, Kickboxing, and 1-on-1 training.
Outside of the gym, Mike is working towards becoming a certified mediator and conflict coach. He hopes to establish his own practice in conflict resolution someday.
“I believe that building a healthy body is the result of building a healthy mindset—pushing yourself in the gym transcends to pushing yourself in other areas of your life. I started working out 10 years ago for the physical benefits, but its mental benefits made me never look back; exercise is therapy to me.”
